"Hamite. Sculpture in bronze by Malvina Hoffman. Chauncey Keep Memorial Hall. He is a native of Abyssinia, where intruding Hamites clashed with an early Negro population. This man shows Hamitic features which are far removed from those of Negroes in the refinement of the nose and mouth. Il s'agit ici d'une des sculptures qui ont été commandées à Malvina Hoffman à l'occasion de l'exposition organisée par le Field Museum of Natural History le 6 juin 1933, intitulée "The Races of Mankind" et qui s'est tenue dans le Chauncey Keep Memorial Hall jusqu'en 1969.
