Description
Légende de la planche : "Plate XXVII. Kwikwilyaqa is the imitating Kachina. His distinguishing trait is manifested at the Pachavu ceremony when many different Kachinas swarm through the village, and at dances where he acts as a foil for the clowns. He echoes every spoken word, seemingly regardless of language, and mimics with mirror-like rapidity every action and gesture of the person before him. Kwikwilyaqa wears a tousled cedar bark wig. His conical eyes and snout are decorated with black and white rings. The rest of the costume is optional".
Usage
Appartient à une série de 24 planches en couleurs représentant des danseurs kachinas.
