The physical characters of the Australian aboriginal are jet-black, wavy or curly hair, which is often well developed on the face ; dark chocolate-brown skin ; medium stature ; and a long head with a flat, retreating forehead, prominent brow-ridges, projecting face, and a deeply set, broad nose."Sculpture représentant un femme et un enfant debout, l'enfant porte un boomerang.Carte postale appartenant à une série éditée par le Field Museum of Natural History, Chicago, U.S.A., reproduisant des objets de la collection. Il s'agit ici d'une des sculptures qui ont été commandées à Malvina Hoffman à l'occasion de l'exposition organisée par le Field Museum of Natural History le 6 juin 1933, intitulée "The Races of Mankind" et qui s'est tenue dans le Chauncey Keep Memorial Hall jusqu'en 1969.
