Flutes from around the world

From Europe to India, via the Middle East, flautist Joce Mienniel celebrates music without borders, a universal language.

Virtuoso flautist Joce Mienniel wrote and composed this piece based on flutes from around the world. Imbued with poetry, rich timbres and the cultural heritage of traditional music that criss-crosses our modern societies, this programme invites us on a journey beyond the borders of Europe, India and the Middle East.

Bringing together six musicians on stage, most of whom play traditional music from Syria, Pakistan, Italy or Macedonia, this orchestra, full of light and generosity, delivers a unique and different music in which reverie and contemplation take pride of place.
