Young singer and musician Derya Yildirim performs traditional Turkish pop inspired by a traditional that she constantly reinvents through new interpretations.Alongside Grup Şimşek, she covers the great classics of Turkish music and original material, adding a touch of psychedelic rock to the saz, a traditional Turkish instrument.

Hailing from Turkey, Germany, France, Great Britain and Italy, the members of Grup Şimşek are part of the generation without borders, referred to by some as “Outernational”, who are propelling Turkish poetical wealth and culture into the future, while not losing sight of the heritage of past artists.
