An irresistible performance from the first female mariachi group, in conjunction with the exhibition The Olmecs.
An all-women group founded in New York in 2008, Flor de Toloache draws on the Latin origins of its members to reinvent Mexican mariachi music. While preserving this two-hundred-year-old tradition, the quartet of violin, trumpet, vihuela and guitarrón plus voice pushes back the limits of the genre through its bold, energetic, joyful performance.
