The unprecedented encounter between the traditional kora of Malian virtuoso Ballaké Sissoko and the electronic music of Italian composer Lorenzo Bianchi Hoesch.
Bringing together two worlds, two seemingly very different sound universes, without distorting their essence: with Radicants, the great Malian kora master Ballaké Sissoko and the Italian electronic music composer Lorenzo Bianchi Hoesch join forces for a unique immersive project.
The two musicians set out to find new ways of inventing common roots, with the kora as their source and electronics as their development, resonance and form. Sequenced live by Bianchi Hoesch, the intimate character of the Mandingo instrument remains while being enhanced and enveloped by the layers and textures of the electronics.
A genuine bridge between ancestral music and electroacoustic music creation.
