Explore the museum how you choose, to fit your needs and your age

Advance booking is strongly recommended, even for visitors eligible for free admission. To book a time slot, go to the online ticketing service page.

Groups with disabilities can also return to the museum from 9 June. To organise a visit for your group, go to the “Group visits” page.

The museum is delighted to have been awarded the French Tourisme & Handicap [Tourism & Disabilities] label for adaptation to people with motor, mental, aural or visual impairments!

Plan your visit

Admission to the museum is free for visitors with disabilities and one accompanying person.

People with disabilities also benefit from reduced rates on all activities.

Groups can also book an activity at a reduced rate.

Some areas of the museum are dark. Torches are available free of charge from the cloakroom and orientation tables help visitors find their way around the museum.


Reception staff are available to provide information and assistance if needed.

  • ‘My little explorer guide’: this guide book designed for kids presents objects in the museum as well as games. Download "My little guide" (PDF - 4.9 MB). Also available at the museum reception desk. 
  • Text summaries in ‘easy to read and understand’ format are available in all the exhibitions.

Cultural Activities

Discover the museum and exhibitions alone or with family or friends.

The museum runs two guided tours for mentally-disabled persons per semester.
All the workshops and narrated tours are accessible to mentally-disabled persons.

All these activities are designed and led by trained guides.

The museum also runs a program of performances, concerts and events which are accessible to all audiences.

Discover the museum in a group

Organizations, schools and specialist institutions can book an activity for groups on a preferred date. Book at least 15 days in advance and provide useful information on your group so that the guide can adapt the tour as required.
