Designed by Gilles Clément, the garden is an integral part of the museum: a verdant garden, spread over an area of 18,000 m². A one-of-a-kind space in Paris.
Discover the Garden
Garden exploration guide
A place of nature and culture, the garden is an invitation to travel, featuring trails, small hills, paved paths and pools ideal for meditation and reverie. The garden houses 169 trees and thirty or so plant species: oaks and maples on the north, magnolias and cherries on the south.
Thanks to the stilt structure, the garden passes underneath the museum, where it is planted with grasses. Museum visitors can also find the ticket offices located outside. Performances, lectures and concerts are also held in an open-air theatre in the heart of the garden.
